Mitchell Herrmann

Mitchell Herrmann studies modern and contemporary art in America and Europe, with a particular focus on issues of media and technology, ecology and the environment, and critical theory. As a Marshall Scholar, he completed an MA in Philosophy of Art at the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy at Kingston University in London. He has worked in a curatorial and research capacity at the Yale University Art Gallery and was a 2023-4 Mellon-Marron Research Consortium Fellow at The Museum of Modern Art in New York. His publications have appeared or are forthcoming in October, Art Journal, and MoMA Magazine, and his dissertation focuses on the theme of biological life in contemporary art.
