Biography

Coming from Northeast China and having studied in Harbin and Nanjing in China and State College in the US, Bo An joins the combined program of East Asian Languages and Literatures & Film and Media Studies in 2015.

His research interests include history of technology, STS, and modern Chinese history and politics. His current research focuses on computing, information, telecommunication, and automation in China from the early 20th century to the present. He also studies critical theory, political economy, and intellectual history and likes to think about questions of labor, governance, equality, and education.
