Event description:

Rough Cut is a forum for graduate students (and invited faculty) to present and share their projects in film and media studies. Presentation topics are traditionally meant to be “rough,” that is, in progress, but speakers in the past have also presented recently published work. We typically meet once every two weeks, and talks tend to range from 45 minutes to an hour, followed by a 30-minute discussion and Q&A with FMS faculty, students, and attendees. This semester, in addition to our usual line-up of talks, we will also be hosting an online roundtable for graduate students on Effective Teaching Strategies in Film and Media Studies on November 10th.
