The series FAMILY PICTURES USA , hosted by Thomas Allen Harris, will air nationally on PBS primetime August 12th at 9pm and August 13th at 8pm and 9pm. FAMILY PICTURES USA looks at America through the lens of the family photo album and grew out of more than two decades of personal films that mine my family archive.
PBS feels that FAMILY PICTURES USA is a show that the country needs right now to help create dialogue across difference, heal communities and re-vitalize Public Media - which is why PBS featured the project in its summer release as well as at the PBS Annual Meeting’s General Assembly in Nashville and selected it to be included in the recent Television Critics Association Press Tour in Los Angeles. FAMILY PICTURES USA is a uniquely innovate transmedia project that combines live experiential events, social/digital media, and national TV broadcasts to spark a movement in celebration of our shared humanity.
