Location:
320 York Street
New Haven, CT
Event description:

Around 20 Yale students (many of whom are FMS majors) have been working hard to make this year’s festival an extraordinary event. We will be screening a program of 40 outstanding student films selected from over 600 submissions from 50 countries, as well as a slate of Yale student films. In addition, we’ve invited several notable Yale alumni working in the film industry back to campus to share their work – in screenings, master classes, and panels. We will also host parties, concerts, networking events, and an award show.

Our fiction spotlight film will be The Holdovers, followed by a Q&A with Writer/Producer David Hemingson, Yale ‘86. Our documentary spotlight film will be Roleplay, a powerful exploration about sexual violence on collage campuses that just received its world premiere at SXSW. Producer Jenny Mercein Yale ‘95, and Director Katie Mathews will present the film in person.

We would love to bring the entire Yale film community together for this exciting weekend of events. If you could please share this information (and the attached flyer) with your students, colleagues, and anyone else who may be interested, we would greatly appreciate it!
