Film at Yale

The Film at Yale website is a central resource for all things related to the numerous public film screenings on campus. The site also provides links to film/media centered academics, clubs, and other resources. This is a good starting point for all things film related.

Center for Collaborative Arts and Media (CCAM)

CCAM offers an array of opportunities and resources for all Yale students including FMS majors. These include production advising, classrooms, edit labs, shooting spaces, and equipment checkout. Some FMS production courses are also CCAM sponsored. Check out the CCAM listed resources here.

Creative and Performing Arts Awards

Administered by the Council of Heads of College, the Creative and Performing Arts (CPA) grants support on-campus dramatic, musical, dance, video or film productions, literary publications, and visual arts exhibitions.  These projects are supported by the Sudler Fund, the Welch Art Fund, and the Bates Fund.  Apply here.

Yale Film Archive

The Yale Film Archive is home for a growing collection of 35mm and 16mm film prints, as well as a circulating library of DVDs, Blu-rays, and VHS tapes.

Whitney Humanities Center

The Whitney Humanities Center was inaugurated in 1981 as an interdisciplinary institution built upon Yale’s longstanding commitment to the humanities, designed to enable and enhance research, thinking, and scholarly  exchange in all fields of the humanities and throughout the University. The Center seeks to support and strengthen the activities of faculty and graduate students in the humanities and neighboring fields by creating a sense of intellectual community that transcends departmental boundaries and by fostering collegial dialogue, informed debate, and the pursuit of new fields of inquiry. The Center’s programs include symposia, lectures, faculty seminars, and working groups. Some of these bring distinguished visitors to the University; others are primarily designed for free and informal exchange of ideas among faculty and advanced graduate students on topics of more than disciplinary interest. At the core of the Center is a set of Fellows, drawn from the several departments of the humanities, and from other fields.
