Study Abroad

Film and Media Studies majors frequently study film abroad for a semester or a summer.  However, students who wish to study abroad for a semester are cautioned to make sure that they will not jeopardize their chances to finish the major by so doing.  Most frequently, students study at the Czech film school FAMU where Yale Film and Media Studies has an association; some study in the U.K. or Paris.  FAMU summer courses for Yale students are conducted in English under the auspices of the Yale Summer Program.  For study abroad Film and Media Studies majors can receive a maximum of four credits towards graduation, but only 2 towards the major.
